This year, we have been thrilled to showcase our luxury outdoor buildings at RHS Flower Show Tatton Park 2022 and RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival 2022, where our luxury outdoor buildings received two awards from the Royal Horticultural Society.

Unrestricted by social-distancing measures and blessed with glorious weather, it was a joy to join other artisan craftspeople and garden experts at the world’s largest flower show, Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival, where we earned a 3-star tradestand award (pictured).

Showcasing ‘The Hut’ and two kitchens, the team had the pleasure of introducing a collection of products to new customers and exploring how Sherwood Outdoor Living could transform their homes, lifestyles, and time with loved ones.

Then summer saw Sherwood Outdoor Living travel to the beautiful Cheshire countryside. Set alongside a stunning neo-classical manor and amongst 2,000 acres of National Trust grounds, Tatton Show provided another fantastic setting for our luxury outdoor buildings.

Whilst our outdoor buildings may be a year-round product, our team proved a little less weatherproof in the throes of the changing British conditions. Nevertheless, the week proved a further success, and we were delighted to receive a 4-star tradestand award for our efforts!

Sherwood Outdoor Living’s founder, Chris Tyler, commented that he was “really pleased” with this year’s awards but building on this success he will be “pushing for” the highly coveted gold award next year!

If you missed Sherwood Outdoor Living at this summer’s tradeshows, our huts, kitchens, lounges and diners are available to view at our showroom.

From the 4th – the 9th of July, we had the pleasure of attending the RHS Hampton Court Palace Festival to showcase our luxury outdoor buildings.

As the world’s largest flower festival, the show offered a magnificent setting to present our handcrafted outdoor buildings alongside the work of countless other talented artisan makers and garden experts.

As our first show of the summer, we were thrilled to be presented with a 3-star tradestand award for the quality of our exhibit.

Following this success, we’re preparing for a second of the Royal Horticultural Society’s shows! You’ll find our expert team at RHS Flower Show Tatton Park in Cheshire from Wednesday 20th July – Sunday 24th (10am – 5pm) where they’ll be able to guide you through our collection and show you how your outdoor space could be transformed.

With glorious weather forecast, unique family activities, and beautiful gardens in bloom, this year’s show promises to be a really special event with an abundance of garden inspiration!

Chris found freedom with his family through luxury outdoor cooking.

With a traditional American-style barbecue, Chris found himself at the foot of his 1920’s style garden, separated from his young family and guests when preparing food for an occasion. Aside from the brief, token conversation with friends by the barbecue, Chris found this to be a solitary experience.

When upgrading his barbecue to a Morso wood-fired Forno, this experience fundamentally shifted. The theatre and intrigue of cooking on an open flame invited guests to gather by the stove. The Forno presents a simpler solution to outdoor cooking – allowing Chris to leave the Forno and enjoy time with his guests. It was this relaxed, social experience which inspired Chris to create the Hut.

Not only a stylish contribution to the garden landscaping, but The Hut also offers a fantastic space for preparing meals together. From interactive dining experiences to a great outdoor activity, The Hut offered Chris’s family a chance to break away from screen time and the monotony of everyday life to create meals together. The children delighted in making their own pizza dough and long carefree afternoons could easily run into relaxed, atmospheric evenings outdoors.

From exquisite ten-course tapas meals with friends and effortless summer lunches to cosy suppers after dusk, the Hut brought holiday-living to Chris’s home – a truly invaluable escape at times of limited travel.

It is this experience that Chris hopes others find through The Hut: the opportunity to create a unique retreat, transform ordinary moments into quality time with loved ones and make unforgettable memories at home.
